The team: Sociolegal researcher, Mhairi Campbell, and health researcher Lynsay Matthews, from the University of the West of Scotland.
Typically, health benefit claims are paid for health conditions that impact people >50% of the time. However, this does not address fluctuating conditions such as PMDD where the detrimental impact of the disorder is present when symptoms resolve.
Mhairi sits on the Scottish Government's advisory group for their reform of assessment criteria for Adult Disability Payment. Our study will feedback to the group.
